Abstract

Currently, the online retail business has dramatically increased. Also, the number of small and medium sellers increased. Most of online platforms develop the operating systems based on their own policy and rules. Thus, it makes the operation efficiency of sellers, suppliers and logistics service providers very low and the integrated data management impossible.
In this research, it has been proposed the standard API based information system for linking online retail and logistics system. Without the big changes in the operations of current platforms and shopping malls, the standard API approach has been adopted for sharing and re-generating the data among platforms and stakeholders. It has been proposed the ownership of data generation, and process and rule for sharing data. In order to enhance the security and integrity, the system architecture and standard process using blockchain technology was proposed. Through the demonstration of the proposed system with the candidate users, we have checked whether it can be adopted in the practical business environment. With the proposed system, it may be possible to standardize the data and system structure for linking systems in the same industry. Also, it can be expected the improved operation efficiency through the data sharing and regeneration.
